I never liked wearing winter jackets until I could offer it to her
I am a very simple guy who has never been fond of fashion or trends. Like most Indian men, my mother or sister decides what would suit me and I just go with the flow. It’s not that I don’t want to look good, it’s just that I don’t mind wearing what they pick for me, which is normally nice enough.
One of the apparels I never noticed or cared to like was jackets for men as I considered them as a protection against the chilly winds until that memorable night. I was dating a girl, Ridhi, whose details I found on a matrimonial website and we were just testing the waters. She was not a stunning beauty but a cute homely girl, which suited me perfectly. As we were both a bit shy and it was our fourth meeting, we kept the date casual by eating at a popular café near her home and I decided to drop her home so that we could enjoy a long walk.
We had just taken a couple of steps from the café when it started to rain. Though it was not pouring sheets but it was the beginning of February so even the light drizzle made us shiver.
